Blackberry Smoothie


Blackberries are one the commonest wild foods and they grow in almost every park. I felt sad wandering around my local reservoir and looking at the bushes abundant in ripe fruit. Nobody wanted the fruits. Nobody was gathering them. Soon they dried and fell of the bushes. So much goodness got wasted…

Blackberries are rich in antioxidants, vitamin C and E. They are low in calories and high in fibre.

Ingredients:

  • 1,5 – 2 cups of blackberries
  • 3/4 cup of mineral water
  • 2 apples
  • 1 banana
Preparation:

Peel the banana. Cut the apples and remove the seeds. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until the mixture is creamy and smooth. Serve immediately.

You can refrigerate the smoothie for up to two days in a jar or a closed container.
