Bouquet garni is a must-have in my kitchen. I add it to soups, sauces, stews, roasted dishes... the list goes on.
My standard combination includes bay leaves, celeriac leaves (fresh in summer, dried in winter), parsley and dill. You can also add thyme if you wish, but for me it's got a very characteristic flavour which doesn't go go well with ALL dishes; however, this bouquet garni is perfect for everything.
Ingredients:
- a handful of dill
- a handful of parsley
- 5 bay leaves
- 2-3 sprigs of fresh or dried celeriac leaf
Preparation:
Wash the herbs and tie them with a piece of thread. Add to soups, stews, etc.
So supersimple :)
