The smoothie is very rich in
vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. If you’ve got used to sweet, fruity drinks,
you may be a little bit disappointed as far as the flavour is concerned. The smoothie
has got quite a sharp taste and some of you may feel as you were eating grass.
But, I like grass ... Mooooo!
The elixir of youth? Needles to say,
just look at the list of the ingredients!
Ingredients:
- 1 orange
- 1 apple, with skin but deseeded
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 large handful of spinach, kale and parsley
- 3 florets of broccoli
- 1 celery stick
- 1 tablespoon wheatgrass and moringa olfeira (optional, or you may use other superfoods such as chlorella or spirulina)
- 3 teaspoons nettle honey (recipe here)
- 1-1,5 cup mineral water
Preparation:
- Wash all the vegetables well and put in a blender. Peel the orange and cut into pieces. Deseed the apple. Add to the vegetables.
- Add the superfoods, lemon juice, nettle honey and water and blend everything together until you get a smooth cocktail.
- Serve and enjoy J
You can refrigerate the smoothie in
a jar for up to two days.
