Detoxifying Bath


Cleansing is an important part of a healthy lifestyle and keeping your body in a good condition. We are overloaded with toxins; environment, food, electronics and stress and anxiety are just a few factors that lead to toxic buildup and illnesses.
In spite of the fact that our bodies are cleverly programmed to deal with that toxicity and possess the ability to remove it through urination, sweating and crying, the amount of free radicals in our cells is still increasing. This is caused mainly by living a life full of stress, poor diet, highly processed foods, bad sleeping habits and lack of physical activity.

That’s why it’s essential we support our body so that it can cleanse properly and efficiently. I’m sure you’ve all heard of detox programmes and diets and they are great to get rid of the toxins from the inside. But, our body will also benefit from other treatments such as baths. Not only will they help you to relax and soothe your shattered nerves, but they are an excellent method to cleanse and rejuvenate.

Ingredients: 
  • 1 large handful of daisy and marigold heads
  • 1 large handful of yarrow, sage and ribwort plantain leaves
  • 1 litre of water 

Preparation: 
  1. Wash the herbs, put in a pot and fill with water. Bring to the boil and simmer on a low heat for about 20 minutes.
  2. When the infusion has cooled, drain and remove the herbs.
  3. Pour the infusion into a bathtub filled with warm/lightly hot water and have a bath.
  4. Relax and enjoy J
