Tea for Strong Hair

I have to admit that I often feel a twinge of envy when I see women equipped by nature with long, thick and shiny hair. I wish I had such hair!

Unfortunately, my hair is thin, curly and has a tendency to break and fall. I decided to do something about it and purchased some supplements from over-the-counter. And I must admit, after a couple of months of using they worked quite well and I noticed the difference.

But did you know that many of those supplements are plant-based? Moreover, their composition is often herb-based with horsetail extract being one of the most common ingredients reached for in vitamin and mineral hair supplements production.

But did you also know that horsetail is a very common weed that grows in our gardens, meadows and parks? So why not go foraging, pick and dry some leaves at home? Then you can use it any time you wish to prepare a tasty infusion that may make your dreams come true J

P.S. This tea also strenghtens nails and improves the condition of complexion.

Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons dried nettle
  • 2 tablespoons dried or fresh mint
  • 2 tablespoons dried horsetail
  • boiling water

Preparation:
  1. Place all the herbs in a tea infuser and fill with boiling water. Leave to infuse for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Drink 1 cup two times a day.

This infusion is quite strong so you may dilute it with warm boiled water in proportion 1:1.

I often infuse the herbs for the second time; however, the drink is weaker then so there is no need for diluting.
