Apple and Cinnamon Porridge



Having the same porridge over and over again may get a little bit boring, so here's another version of my favourite breakfast.


Ingredients:
Serves 2

  • 1 and 3/4 cups wholegrain rolled oats (choose gluten-free if you're on a gluten-free diet)
  • about 3 cups of water (you can adjust the amount of water depending if you like your porridge thin or thick)
  • 1 tablespoon raisins
  • 2 apples
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons raw honey
  • 2 tablespoons cold pressed flaxseed oil

Preparation:

  1. Put the oats in a pot, pour water and add raisins. Place on the hob and bring to the boil.
  2. Cook for about 5-7 minutes stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from the heat and let the porridge cool for about 5 minutes.
  4. Divide the porridge between two bowls and add one grated apple, one teaspoon of cinnamon and one tablespoon of honey and flaxseed oil per one bowl of porridge.
  5. Stir and enjoy :)
