This date wine is said to support healthy blood stream that will nourish, strengthen and hydrogenate every cell in your body. It rebuilds and purifies the blood as well as boosts energy levels and brings your good mood back.
Although you can prepare the wine any time of the year, it's of best quality in summer, when it's fuelled with an enormous dose of the sun's energy.
Ingredients:
- 20 dates, finely chopped
- 1 handful of raisins
- 4 tablespoons young nettle leaves
- 4 tablespoons hawthorn fruit
- 4 tablespoons rosehips
- 2 bottles dry red wine
- 2 heaped tablespoons raw honey
Preparation:
- Put the dates, raisins, nettle leaves, hawthorn fruits and rosehips in a 2-litre glass jar. Fill with wine and leave in a sunny place, e.g. on a windowsill, for ten days.
- After that time, pour into a big saucepan or pot, put on a medium heat and bring to the boil. Turn down the heat to low and simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Next, strain the liquid discarding the herbs.
- Add the honey and stir well.
- Bring the decoction to the boil again and then bottle.
It's recommended to drink this wine 4-5 tablespoons a day or add to herbal tea of your choice.
