No, it doesn't taste like the famous store-bought spread; it hasn't got that creamy and silky smooth texture, and it's not that sweet.
But, I still love it. It's got a dreamy chocolate flavour which is intensified by nuttiness coming from hazelnuts and seeds.
And, it's packed with so much goodness I don't suffer any pangs of conscience just eating it out of a jar ;)
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons flaxseed
- 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
- 3 tablespoons hazelnuts
- 2 heaped tablespoons raw cacao powder
- 2 heaped teaspoons maca
- 1-2 tablespoons agave nectar, maple syrup or honey (depending how sweet you want it)
- 4 tablespoons coconut oil
Preparation:
- Grind the seeds and nuts in a mill until you get fine powder.
- Melt the coconut oil in a saucepan over a medium-low heat.
- Place all the ingredients in a mixing bowl and combine until the mixture is creamy and smooth.
- Pack into a glass jar and enjoy any time you want :)
Store in a refrigerator.
